Church Fete
Planning is underway for a church fete on Saturday 21 March 2-5pm – the first St Alban’s has held for a very long time.
If you’re a crafter – maybe a knitter, a sewer, a paper-crafter, a woodworker, a potter, a candlestick or soap maker, or…? – feel very free to start making items for the Craft Stall at the Autumn Fete. It’s on Saturday 21 March in the Church garden – games, music, stalls, tea and cake, a very special auction – and a celebration for the end of our fundraising programme. All the fun of the fete will be there – and the weather’s bound to be our friend. This should be fun!
Please contact Office@stalbanschurch.nz with your planned contribution.

‘The Village’
On Sunday 22 February we had our first event for 2026, ‘The Village’ in St Alban’s garden.
What a wonderful day of connection it was, as elders, youngsters and everyone in-between joined in for shared stories, music, food and fun.
This event will continue through the year starting at 4pm in St Alban’s garden (San Antonio School if wet) on the last Sunday of every month. Just come as you are!
Next ‘Village’ event Sunday 29 March.

Movie Fundraiser
The movie fundraiser ‘Holy Night’ was a great success. We had 67 people attending and some lovely pre-movie nibbles so thanks to all who supported the ticket sales and brought some Kai to share. Everyone seemed to enjoy the movie, based on NZ author Joy Cowley’s book, which showcased a great cast including lots of laughs, a little sadness, a spiritual message, a nostalgic flashback to the 70’s, with great New Zealand music and scenery.
Congratulations to the raffle winners, and thanks to those who contributed items.
A special thanks to O’Malleys Bar & Kitchen in Days Bay for their generous raffle prize.
